Well, It's 4:33 am on Sunday morning and I'm wiped out! The good news is that I finished inking the final figure for the Portsmouth Rec. Dept. cover. I'm feeling pretty darn good about these illustrations so far and to be honest, I haven't felt that way in a long time. This work is approaching the kind of quality and style that I've been striving for and knew I was capable of. It's far from perfect and I can pick out the flaws with the best of 'em, but I'm pleased over all. Tomorrow (today really) begins the task of coloring and laying out text. This may sound simple, like paint-by-numbers, but it's not. There's a lot to it and I'm too tired at the moment to go into the intricacies of color theory etc. Suffice it to say that I will be pulling another all-nighter and probably working until the wee hours of the morning. But, it's worth it (I think) and unless I really screw up the coloring, I feel this will be the best piece I've done in quite a while. I hope all three of you feel the same way--ha,ha. Stay tuned tomorrow for the finished piece!

Nice work. The drawings really give the feeling of "action" and the line quality/variation is great. Can't wait to see the colorized finished version.
