Frighteningly Funny Caricatures!

These caricatures represent a small sampling of the dozens that I cranked out in a 4-5 hour time period at the 2nd Annual 2008 Great Pumpkin Halloween Party held this past Saturday at the Holiday Inn in Nashua, NH. This event was organized by a great group that included my very own cousin Matt, who as it turns out, is a fantastic DJ! Those who appreciate well-crafted beer and a good party, won't want to miss next year's bash. You can get more info about upcoming events, etc. by clicking on Beer Encounters!

I had a blast meeting a bunch of great people who were more than willing "victims" at the point of pen (markers if you want to get technical.) I caricatured couples almost exclusively. Each caricature took approximately 10 minutes. I welcome the opportunity to caricature more in the future, so feel free to contact me if you or someone you know is interested in the seriously silly services of this personable, art dude. You can email me a photo to base the caricature off of or I'll show up at your door with markers and paper in hand! I do corporate functions, kid's parties (face painting too!) and private parties. John, these are fantastic! You did such a wonderful job at our Halloween Party saturday night. It was a huge success with nothing but positive feedback thanks in part to your efforts. Awesome!
Hopefully this will drum up some business for you. Thanks again Cuz!

Thanks Matt! The Halloween party was so much fun, I almost forgot I was a walking zombie from lack of sleep. You did an amazing DJ job and were the heart and soul of the party. Great job back at you! Hope we can do this again soon.

Sounds like an awesome gig! Matt should throw a party every weekend. The caricatures are fun and loose - and the subjects inspiring. Happy to see the blog has some new work. Keep it up!

Thanks Robert! It WAS an awesome gig. Hope to do some more parties with those guys in the future.

The guests were great; very personable and great costumes. They made my job easier.

I'm happier than anyone to see new work on this blog! Coming up is the completed caricature of my Nana, my "Hulk-leg" sketch (self portrait from my 6-day hospital stay) and sketches of dinosaurs playing sports for the new, Portsmouth Recreation Dept., program cover. Check back soon folks!

Is the girl on the left the same girl in four different costumes? Great job capturing the variety of costumes. They look like fashion illustrations.

No, all different girls Dave. I think they look distinctive enough from one another. They may have happened to coincidentally share simliar facial features. I agree, these do kind of resemble fashion illustratons. Maybe I should audition for the next season of Project Runway--lol!
