Usually I feel a bit deflated when I finish a project because the end result rarely meets or exceeds my expectations. This actually turned out better than I thought it would. It just may be the best of the 12 covers I've created for the Portsmouth Recreation Department. That's really saying something because I rarely give myself a pat on the back when it comes to my own work; the whole, "artists are their own harshest critics thing."
After several long shifts working on this project (the longest being from 1:00 pm yesterday to 8:15 am this morning!), I think I've earned the right to fall asleep in front of the boob tube.
